The philosophy of the TSA Competitive Program is to provide our players with all the tools and resources needed to develop and succeed as soccer players at the highest level possible. We believe that for this to be accomplished we must first develop our players. The philosophy of the TSA Competitive Program is to provide our players with the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological tools necessary to succeed on the soccer field. Our Training Model is designed to address the age appropriate needs of our players as they grow and develop into soccer players and individuals. To provide a year-round soccer training curriculum while utilizing top quality and state-of-the-art training facilities and equipment - an environment through which players in our academy can reach their full playing potential. TSA utilizes the most current training methodologies and applications to improve the individual player and the TSA Training Program was developed in accordance with standards set by the UNITED STATES SOCCER FEDERATION and its expectations for player development in the United States, updated April 2011. The use of video analysis, written and oral evaluations as critical feedback in the development of the athlete.
Under the TSA Banner will be Springfield Select FC travel teams and the Select FC Goalkeeper Institute. The Select FC Goalkeeper Institute was developed to fill the void of quality keeper training in our area.
At the Select FC Goalkeeper Institute, the interest is in not only offering the best possible training for today’s goalkeepers, but also in the development of the character of the athlete. The position is truly unique in sports because it incorporates not only all aspects of athleticism and knowledge of the game, but also those of character, such as leadership, confidence, intelligence, competitiveness and psychological strength.
The Select FC Goalkeeper Institute curriculum goes beyond training and drills, instead providing a full spectrum approach focused solely upon the goalkeeper position, providing a platform for the complete training for athletes playing the position. The Select FC goalkeeper is taught and educated in every aspect of the goalkeeper position.
Another first for our community is the integration of an International trip into our Total Soccer Academy with our partnership with Eurotech Tours, Inc. High School aged men’s and women’s teams will take part in Professional training from the top Clubs in the world, visit and attend Professional stadiums and matches, and participate in friendly matches against local international youth clubs.
One of the goals of Total Soccer Academy (TSA) is to continue to bring new players and teams into the club. TSA extends the following invitation to all soccer players and teams who are seeking an environment that emphasizes total athletic development through dynamic training techniques and strong player development.
